Maleki went to Kaysville Fire Department today to give to the Kaysville Gives- Fill the Fire Truck event.
Since we lost our Santa (Kona) this was Maleki's try at Santa. Leki we love you but pretty sure Kai will get to take over as Santa and Leki is going back to Mr. Elf

Maleki did get to add to his #sportthebadge photos with some of the crew from the FD.  🤣😂

SodaPup

SodaPup sent the crew some toys to try out. We have been using them for about a month and have also let the dogs chew on them here and there to see how durable they are. The dogs love the toys and they are still all in one piece and almost look new still even with our crew that isn’t easy on toys. The toys that were sent to us include MKB Bull Frog, USA-K9 Grenade Black, and US-K9 Stars and Strips Red. The favorite of for the dogs that they all go towards is the Grenade which we also really like for them as well. It is a great size so it would make it hard for them to swallow it and also has a rope which is awesome for tossing it for them to chase when you have a slobber dog.
The Bull Frog doesn’t have a rope on it but you can also throw it like a ball for them to chase. It is a nice size for most dogs to prevent swallowing and they enjoy chasing it as much as a ball. The Stars and Stripes is also a rope ball which is again great for throwing. It is a smaller ball so it wasn’t great for my large dogs but great for the girls it was perfect. We will be getting more of their toys to add to our collection we are super impressed with their quality and durability. Thank you SodaPup for sending the dogs some toys to test out they have been super happy and excited to test them out and play.

RC Pets Products

RC Pet Products sent the team some coats and boot to try out. Our weather has been amazing and nice lately but we wanted to give the products a try. Most of our team is a very active team running around all the time. The dogs didn’t take long to be comfortable with the boots on all it took was throwing around some toys for them to forget they even had the boots on. We also tried on the coats to see how they worked with the dogs activity level. We are a fan of their products and will recommend them to everyone.

The Strider and Ultimate Trail boots are both great outdoor door boots but because of the activity level of our dogs the Ultimate Trail boots seem to fit better. We like that they have a front and back boot helping with a great fit on the dogs feet. The Strider boot seemed to have a little bit of a loose fit more like a sock. The hard rubber sole on the Ultimate Trial boot is going to be great for hiking, snow and ice protect and to protect feet from the hot pavement in the summer. The Strider boot has a softer rubber sole that work for protecting their feet as well I think they would be a better fit for a dog not as active or adventures as our crew. They are both great shoes it is just personally preference on why we would pick the Ultimate Trail.

The coats are all awesome. They sent us the Cascade, Venture Outerwear, and Stratus Puffer Coats. Again, with the activity level of our team I think both the Cascade and Venture coats fit the dogs best. The Stratus Puffer is a beautiful warm coat but with the running our dogs do they seem to come lose a little bit while the other two said nice and tight. I think the Cascade and Venture are the perfect thickness to keep in the dogs body heat while we are out in the cold enjoying time together. The Stratus Puffer is thicker than the Cascade and Venture coats which would be great for a less active dog.
We would like to say thank you to RC Pet Products for sending the team some awesome gear to try out and we can’t wait to get our use out of them over time. If you are in the need for dog coats or boots make sure to check them out they make an awesome quality product.

Leashes By Liz

Leashes By Liz sent our dogs some slip leads to try out. The leashes are amazing and we love them and also added a carabiner clip on the end so we can use it as a clip leash as well. The leads are so well made and with weeks of use are still tight and like new. The grip on the handles is a nice size and thickness to have full control over the dogs. We are in love with these collars and will make sure all the dogs get one. She has a bunch of colors to pick from which is awesome because had our team colors to match everything else. Thank you Leashes By Liz for sending the crew some awesome high quality leads.

Vivaglory

We have used the Sports Style Life Jacket and loved it. The fit and movement for Maleki was great it was like he wasn't even wearing a vest. Vivaglory was kind enough to send the team their Premium Neoprene Dog Life Jacket. Just like the Sports Style the movement of the dogs was not affected at all. The velcro on the belly along with clips on both fits night and snug. Both vest have handles but after trying them both I like the double thick handles on the Premium Neoprene over the Sport Style. Both are made very well and the team is in love with them. If you need a Life Jacket for your dog and want one that won't affect their movement I would look at getting a Vivaglory. The price is also super affordable for a high quality product.

We had a fun day on the lake with some of our local friends and friends from Colorado. Maleki came along to join the fun this trip. We hope that by next year we will be able to get the rest of the crew out on the lakes with us.

While our friends were in town working the DockDogs event we went and took a hike in the morning before the crazy week started. I met up with Charles and Sarah along with Maleki and Maui to take the amazing morning hike. It was a great day to start the day. On our way back down we ran across a deer. Then headed home to pack up the gear for the DockDogs event.

Davis County Fair-Wednesday

The dogs were able to spend plenty of time on the dock and pool as there were not many competitors there. I was hoping for a slow day to work on some things with the dogs and we were able to do that. We also had fun with our friends.

Both Maui and Maleki jumped under their titled division so they didn't get a placement. Kai finished off his Senior title.

Causey Reservoir

I took off work early and picked up our friend Sarah who was in town working for the upcoming event in Farmington.

We packed up the kayaks and took them and Maleki up to Causey Reservoir for the afternoon. Ryan and Sarah were both brave enough to jump of the cliff. Then we went on a bit and we had to make a stop for Maleki after he peed then he decided to jump into Ryan's kayak as Ryan was swimming. I had to chase him down to get him and the kayak back lol We all had a good laugh at that and Maleki just thought he was cool enough to ride alone.

It was great afternoon before the crazy few days of jumping starts.
