Wednesday is Day One of the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, CO. This is our favorite event to travel to both for the fun and events going on. The drive up was easy, went fast, and we were able to set up in dog town so we are ready tomorrow. We can't wait to see how the long weekend goes.

We crossed the river in Oregon on our way home over to Maryhill, WA to check out the Stonehenge up on the hill. It was a great place to get out and walk the dogs before finishing our drive home. The view was amazing. This area has so much beauty. Sadly we had to pack up and head home after a wonderful camping trip away. The dogs did amazing all weekend we are so lucky to have the dogs we have. They take a lot of time and work but when helping hooking up the trailer and you tell them to stay when you walk away and they all stay you know all your work is worth it. Until the next time mountains we will be back. Sunday we had breakfast with Porter and the pack before they left to head back home. After they left we loaded up the dogs and headed down to the river for a walk and some fun with the dogs. The dogs had a blast playing in the river and it was great to half them worn out the rest of the evening. We enjoyed a calm evening with the pack knowing our outing was about over. Saturday we decided to head over to Bald Mountain and do some hiking with the dogs. It was an easy hike but it was great to get the boys out. We left the oldies Maui, Shooter, and Luna along with Fable back at camp. When we got back to back to camp we rode around the area and found a big Moose but we didn't have a phone or camera to catch a photo and when we went back to get one he was gone. We enjoyed another great day with friends and the pups. Friday we woke up to a beautiful morning up in the mountains. The rain was gone after it dumped most the night with an amazing light show. Maleki saw something in the morning and was on guard thinking we needed saving from whatever it was. We didn't have much going on other than waiting for Porter and his pack to come up. We all had a great evening together and it was a nice relaxing day with the pups. Thursday we took off with all four dogs fitting in kennels in Ryan's new truck and we got to the Uintas for a weekend of camping up at the Uinta Lands. Getting all set up was a bit of an adventure with the rain and lightning storm that started then set up and ended up being in the dark which was not fun. But we finally got set up for a great long weekend away. Before heading home we went to the Red Hills and then the garden they have there. We hiked up some big rocks and hills enjoying the views and time with family. It is a super pretty area we could have explored for hours. We had a weekend trip without the dogs. Strange I know but we got to see some great things. Snow Canyon is beautiful I think I could explore all day there. Here are a few photos from that adventure. My Mom's friends that live in St. George took us around to see it. We went out to explore a bit around the condo with the family. It was a perfect way to see the sun start to set and a great way to end the evening. |
